Answer: Not exactly. In fact, the number of homes for sale in the County are down from previous years overall. Foreclosures are no different. Compared to the last 4 to 5 years, there’s far fewer foreclosures available now. PLUS, the Michigan Court of Appeals just issued a ruling that has made a very large number of foreclosures invalid—this may require that banks pull some foreclosures off the market, and not release others for sale until the issue is cleared up. For buyers who are waiting thinking there’s more “Deals” coming, you may not want to wait much longer, and if you’ve wanted to sell–you may not have the competition of foreclosures for a couple of months which would be a great time to sell!
